Proviso Food Pantry

The Proviso Food Pantry is housed at Cosmopolitan United Church. The Pantry serves the 14 Proviso Township villages. With a collimation of volunteers from a cluster of churches, the Pantry continues to operate weekly.

The pantry is sponsored by RFUMC (River Forest United Methodist Church) and receives a monthly no-cost allocation of canned, packaged, frozen and fresh items from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. In addition, we use funds donated by various organizations and individuals to purchase additional items from the Depository at a significantly reduced cost compared to retail groceries.

Cosmopolitan United Church packs and prepares bags of groceries after our morning worship at 11 a.m. If you would like to extend a helping hand or fill up service hours please join us.
