Covid Update

Governor J.B. Pritzker has announced new Tier 3 mitigation guidelines that are to go into effect on Friday, November 20, 2020. The State of Illinois, like most other states, is experiencing an alarming spike in COVID-19 cases, and in order to prevent further infection and death as well as to avoid overwhelming hospitals, we must all do our part.

Cosmopolitan United Church will join other United Methodist Churches in the state in suspending in-person services for at least the next 4 weeks as a show of solidarity with our neighbors and to be part of the solution to this Covid Spike. What I have learned in my first 5 months as your pastor is that you are a community of faith that recognizes that a building is not what defines “church”.  We will get through this together.

In Christ,

Pastor Juan Pablo

Welcome our New Pastor
